 The drawing usually depicts the part or component as an orthographic projection with each view containing the necessary dimensions.In this case, the drawing is a centering rest that is used to support material as it is being machined.

We use different symbols in fabrication drawings like welding symbols, piping symbols,field weld, shop weld, welding detail, instrument or equipment symbols like valve, PI, TI NRV etc.
